SRI LANKA IS READY FOR WELCOMING NIPPON MARU-2018

“Nippon Maru” which gathers peculiar laughs, smiles, strengths and personalities of more than 240 youth from diverse nations has begun its sailing for 2018 too and it will cruise over Japan, Singapore, India and Sri Lanka this time.  Being in the middle of the journey, the ship might be restlessly eager to feel the comfort of Sri Lanka and the youth fabricating their newly met friendships and brotherhoods may also be eager to experience the warmth of hospitality of Sri Lankans. Yes, A few days more!
Same as reputed for the hospitality, it is inevitable welcoming this essence of youth from 11 different cultures in an elegant way and it is of course an honour for the Sri Lankans to welcome this glorious ship which carries beautiful hearts to Sri Lanka. After many meetings, SWYAA (Ship for World Youth Leaders Alumni Association) Sri Lanka, National Youth Services Council and Embassy of Japan in Sri Lanka collaboratively make everything ready for extending the hands for these young leaders who are hopefully waiting for gaining a remarkable experience in Sri Lanka.   And the final meeting on this was held on 11th February 2018 ensuring the progress of preparation for Port of Call Activities in Sri Lanka.
It is planned to accompany them to places in their free time such as ODEL, Laksala, House of Fashion and Museum for shopping and sightseeing. Further, they will be provided a fruitful lecture series as per the course discussions at the University of Colombo and institutional visits to the places such as ITN, Helpage, Thidora, Gem Bureau Colombo etc. These organizations are willing at their heaps to share their knowledge and experience with these young leaders and make the Port of Call in Sri Lanka one of the best memories in their lives. And the most outstanding,  it is arranged to conduct the “Sri Lankan Night” out of the ship for the first time with a plenty of fun games, cultural events and tea party.
Thus, Sri Lanka is ready!
Sri Lanka, the generous soul is waiting with the palms pressed together to say “Ayubowan!!!” for ship for world youth leaders -2018.
